The Bushwick Market is a jewelry eCommerce website.
I redesigned its Brand Identity and applied responsive design for customers
to have a more intuitive shopping experience by removing the initial pain points.

My Role
End-to-end design process
(UX design, UI design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Brand design)
Results
2x increased user interaction on item pages

Increased positive user feedback

Aligned the old design to Brand Identity
Pain Points
① While shopping on the website, it’s difficult to find other items, which results in a confusing navigation and increased bounce rate.

② It’s hard to shop items by categories. It’s difficult to find a categorization tab and items are poorly categorized.

③ On the mobile version, users feel frustrated when they try to see more photos of an item. Users are not used to scrolling down to see more photos.
Design Solutions
① Create more action buttons that people can easily find while navigating the website, which attracts user flow to shop for items and provokes the user’s shopping desire.

② Create various categories that users can browse. Place category sections on the main shopping page to make them more visible.

③ Change the image preview of an item in product page from vertical to horizontal. Swiping horizontally is more intuitive for users to see more photos.
